Tipton Cheers Protected Status for the L.A. River

2010-07-29 Dr. Jeffrey Tipton held a party at the Oak Room Saturday night to celebrate a July 7 decision by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that the Los Angeles River is navigable and protected under the Clean Water Act. That designation overturned an earlier ruling by the Army Corps of Engineers that only four miles of the river were navigable.
